Childthrive: Advanced Specialty Care in Child Psychology will provide a one-day, 6-hour, in-vivo-, in-situ, massed group exposure to shape speaking and social behaviors for ages 3 to 5 (Pre-K and Kg), receiving 1:1 parent-as-camp counselor coaching, in a simulated classroom environment for the treatment of selective mutism (SM), based in the PCIT-SM protocol.
Camp Location: The camp is being held at Crossroads Community Church within White Oak Children’s Academy located in Schererville, Indiana, on Tuesday, August 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The camp fee is $600.00
Preparation for camp, as well as additional fees for the participation in the Mighty Mouth Indiana camp include: 1.) assessment of your child for an SM diagnosis and for camp (not included in the camp fee), 2.) parent-as-counselor training (included in the camp fee), and 3.) participation in the lead-in exposure sessions prior to the camp day (not included in the camp fee).
Preparedness information and associated fees are outlined below:
-Diagnostic and Camp Assessment: A three-part assessment that includes a parent clinical interview with report: $300.00, a parent-child observation: $220.00, and a parent feedback session: $175.00 if your child has not already received an assessment through Childthrive.
-Parent-as-counselor training $100.00; the cost of this training is included in the camp fee of $600.00. Parent-as-Counselor-Training is scheduled on Saturday, July 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Parent training is located in Merrillville, Indiana.
-Lead in sessions (a minimum of three) are billed separately and are scheduled and completed prior to camp; lead-in sessions are part of camp preparations. Lead-in sessions are billed at $175.00 per session. Lead-In Sessions begin on Sunday, July 17th and ends on Saturday, August 6th. Lead-in sessions are located in Merrillville, Indiana.
